The first in a series of three seminars on Leadership in HR, this participative course follows on from Twelve Winds Consulting’s latest report Leadership in HR: Developing the Leadership of HR Professionals.

Presented by Twelve Winds Consulting and Partners Employment Lawyers, the series will provide an organisational development approach combined with the employment law perspective.

Leadership in HR:

For HR professionals a deep understanding of leadership skills is vital. Attracting, developing, and retaining great leaders is critical to organisational success. By aligning the leadership capacity of the organisation to its values and strategy, the HR department plays a vital role in developing organisational cultures that are cohesive, competent and have competitive advantage. Carrie is highly focused senior HR leader with seventeen years of experience in HR, organisational development, and leadership development. She is passionate about creating business cultures where people can do their best work because it benefits everyone. Having worked as Senior HR Leader for News UK for 6 years, she is comfortable with turbulent and challenging environments and has developed a skill in Crisis HR. Carrie is particularly good at helping leaders to engage staff by developing their leadership behaviours to motivate others.

 

Toby Lindsay, Executive Director at Twelve Winds Consulting

Toby has over seventeen years of experience working in learning and development and leading businesses as a company director. He is a Senior Lecturer on Leadership at Birmingham University and a Cohort Director on the NHS Leadership Academy’s Elizabeth Garrett Anderson MSc in Healthcare Leadership.
