Excellent leadership is fundamental to any business success. Effective leaders mobilise an organisation around shared values and vision, helping others to move forward to achieve success. We have therefore worked with leaders across the private, public, and non-profit sectors to develop a deep understanding and experience of leadership development. Twelve Winds is committed to leadership development that enables, enhances and benefits leaders, their organisations and their communities.
At Twelve Winds we emphatically believe that all of us have the potential to develop as leaders. In achieving this we begin by exploring who we are, what our drivers are, and how we are experienced by others. We challenge and support the leaders we work with to identify their developmental needs and aspirations; and to find real situations in which they can practice and progress their leadership capability.
From looking at the individual, we work on developing leadership in groups, asking how does the group affect me and how do I affect the group? Then we consider our wider networks, dynamics of power, and the roles we play as strategic and organisational leaders.
Twelve Winds promotes a values-driven approach to strategy and organisational development. There is clear evidence that leadership that is built on a foundation of values engages, motivates and compels others to go further and achieve more. Therefore, we therefore firmly situate the individual, their values, and beliefs at the heart of their leadership practice.
Our leadership development interventions engage participants in critically reflective, experiential learning cycles. We work with leaders to explore their own personal experience of leadership and leading. And we build learning communities of practice where participants can explore, develop and support each other in developing awareness and skill in leadership practice. Learning communities where there is trust can challenge and support that work, over time to enable significant results for our participants.
Alumni of our programmes are resolutely grounded in their values and understand how they can achieve their organisational objectives through engaging and emotionally resonant leadership. They are more self-aware and can flex and harness their leadership capability to positively benefit and engage others.
